Job summary

Qualifications

• 5–15+ years in mechanical or electro‑mechanical hardware development.
• Ownership of electro‑mechanical products from concept to production.
• Expert in 3D CAD and production drawings for 20–100+ parts.
• Experience with NX, SolidWorks, or equivalent.
• Experience with environmental, vibration, thermal, and reliability testing.
• Ability to drive design reviews and supplier qualification.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of mechanical hardware from requirements to production sustainment.
• Design battery enclosures, power electronics housings, busbars, and distribution hardware.
• Develop mechanical architectures for flight‑critical systems.
• Produce analyses including FEA, hand calculations, and load paths.
• Create production‑ready CAD assemblies and drawings; lead design reviews.
• Develop verification plans for environmental, vibration, thermal, EMI/EMC testing.
• Lead supplier selection, qualification, and production handoff.
• Collaborate with Systems, Electrical, Software, Reliability, Manufacturing, and Field Ops.
• Translate prototype designs into scalable production hardware.
• Mentor engineers or establish standards; lead technical programs.
