Job summary

Wright Electric, Inc. in the United States is seeking a Senior Battery Engineer to join our team.

You will serve as the go-to expert for energy storage and propulsion, collaborating with the power electronics and motor teams to design and verify requirements at the component and integration levels. The role requires a minimum of 10 years of professional experience in energy storage systems, a BS in Electrical/Chemical engineering (MS preferred), and knowledge of aerospace propulsion regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of experience developing and testing energy storage systems.
• MS preferred; BS in Electrical, Chemical, or related Engineering.
• Experience with energy storage systems and R&D for cell and system performance.
• Aerospace/aviation propulsion experience preferred.
• Knowledge of government regulations affecting aircraft design.
• Cross-functional tech/product development experience for risk and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Serve as go-to expert for energy storage and propulsion technology.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and verify requirements at component and integration levels.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary team on assigned projects.
• Work with power electronics and motor teams to integrate the Wright propulsion system.
