General Motors Corporation is seeking a Senior Advanced Battery Cell Engineer to lead cell-build process development at the Wallace Battery Cell Innovation Center in Warren, MI. You will plan, execute, and evaluate trials, working hands-on with cell assembly equipment and related tooling to mature next-generation prismatic cells.

You will combine field experience with leadership, analyzing results, documenting learnings, and presenting recommendations to internal teams and external audiences.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related field.
• 5+ years in battery cells/manufacturing or related area.
• Experience with structured experimentation and data analysis.

Responsabilités

• Lead cell build process development in lab and pilot environments.
• Set up, run, and document cell builds and trials.
• Troubleshoot issues in equipment, tooling, and process controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, repeatable processes.
• Communicate findings and risks clearly to stakeholders.
