Job summary

Kelso Building Services (KBS) in Phoenix, AZ, is seeking a Senior BAS Technician to service and optimize building automation systems. The role combines field work with remote diagnostics, cybersecurity awareness, and customer relationship management.

You will troubleshoot BAS/control issues, mentor junior technicians, and coordinate with project and service teams to deliver peak facility performance across commercial, healthcare, and education customers.

Qualifications

• 3+ years BAS service experience.
• Strong HVAC troubleshooting knowledge.
• Experience reading control drawings and sequences of operation.
• Experience commissioning and servicing DDC systems.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.
• Ability to pass background screening and drug testing.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair BAS control systems and field devices.
• Diagnose HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance and service agreement inspections.
• Support controller replacements, upgrades, migrations, and system expansions.
• Validate sequences of operation and optimize system performance.
• Assist with commissioning, retro- commissioning, and startup activities.
• Develop strong customer relationships and serve as primary technical contact.
