Job summary

LeoForce is seeking a Senior Project Manager for Building Automation Systems in San Jose, CA. Lead BAS projects for commercial campuses, data centers and life sciences with a focus on HVAC controls and retrofits.

You will manage customer engagements, coordinate engineering and field teams, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while mentoring junior staff and driving efficiency across projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related technical field such as mechanical, electrical or aerospace engineering.
• 7+ years managing HVAC controls, BAS, or mechanical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, DDC controls and BAS design.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical plans, specs and control drawings.
• Experience managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors and procurement.
• Proven leadership with mentoring teams.
• Strong organization, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Automated Logic or similar BAS platforms preferred.
• Valid driver's license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple BAS projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, contractors and engineers.
• Develop estimates, proposals and change orders.
• Coordinate engineering, field techs, subs and vendors for delivery.
• Monitor schedules, budgets, labor, procurement and financials.
• Review drawings, specs and control sequences for accurate implementation.
• Provide technical guidance through design, installation, commissioning and startup.
• Negotiate subcontracts and oversee material purchasing.
• Ensure projects are safe, on schedule, within budget and meet expectations.
• Support billing, forecasting, reporting and contract administration.
• Mentor junior PMs and engineers and promote cross-team collaboration.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and growth.
