Job summary

CMS Controls Atlanta is seeking a Senior BAS Field Installer to independently perform complex field installations, startups, and checkout for commercial BAS systems. This senior technical role supports project management and applications engineering while leading field work on smaller projects when needed.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in Building Automation and HVAC controls, with strong troubleshooting, reading of control drawings, and familiarity with BACnet/Modbus interfaces.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Building Automation, HVAC Controls, DDC Controls, or closely related field experience.
• Strong commercial BAS installation, startup, point-to-point checkout, electrical, controls, and field-troubleshooting experience.
• Strong HVAC controls fundamentals and practical knowledge of commercial HVAC equipment.
• Ability to independently execute complex BAS field installations and lead assigned field work when required.
• Ability to read and interpret control drawings, wiring diagrams, mechanical drawings, sequences of operation, specifications, and construction documents.

Responsibilities

• Independently perform and support commercial BAS field execution, including installation, termination, configuration, labeling, and checkout.
• Work from control and mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, sequences of operation, points lists, submittals, network diagrams, specifications, etc.
• Maintain checkout records, field documentation, and as-built information for turnover.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance to developing installers and reinforce CMS standards.
• Represent CMS Controls professionally and maintain a safe work environment.
