Job summary

Jobot is seeking a Senior BAS Programmer / Building Automation Engineer to support projects across Nashville and Middle Tennessee. This hands-on role owns BAS projects from programming and startup through commissioning and turnover.

The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of HVAC, DDC controls, sequences of operation, and BAS networking; comfort troubleshooting controls and mechanical issues in the field. Platforms like BACnet/IP, Modbus, and Niagara are valued.

Qualifications

• Hands-on BAS programming and commissioning experience in building automation projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC systems, mechanical equipment, and sequences of operation.
• Ability to read MEP drawings and control diagrams.
• Working knowledge of BACnet/IP, BACnet MS/TP, Modbus, and BAS networking.

Responsibilities

• Program, configure, and commission BAS/DDC control systems.
• Develop control logic from sequences of operation and technical drawings.
• Configure controllers, field devices, and BAS networks.
• Create graphics, trends, alarms, schedules, and interfaces.
• Perform system startup, testing, and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot BAS programming and field equipment.
