Job summary

LONG Building Technologies is seeking a Senior Controls Technician to troubleshoot and program temperature control systems per project specs. You will lead junior staff, perform installation, warranty and emergency procedures, and leverage field experience to deliver best practices.

Strong knowledge of HVAC controls and commissioning is essential. Pay range is $46-$52 per hour with potential profit sharing, benefits, and ongoing career development.

Qualifications

• 2 years tech school and 3–5 years temperature control system startup, checkout, and service experience.
• Certifications in KMC, Distech, Tridium/Honeywell or equivalent systems.
• Ability to legally drive a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Program databases for supported systems to meet sequences and LONG standards.
• Calibrate and checkout control systems to ensure commissioning obligations are met.
• Create control graphics and deliver GUIs per LONG standards.
• Instruct customer personnel on operation and maintenance of controls.
• Provide updates to drawings and as-built documentation.
• Support service sales with additional contracts during startup and training.
• Guide and mentor junior controls technicians on jobsites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues throughout project sequences.
