Job summary

Driftwood Golf & Ranch Club located just outside Austin, Texas, seeks a Senior Bartender to lead the bar team within the Food and Beverage Service Department. You will guide service excellence, craft cocktails, manage inventories, and collaborate on wine pairings and guest experiences.

The role requires 2–3 years of bartending, leadership in luxury settings, and HACCP knowledge; flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays are common. This is a full-time position at a private club.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Proven leadership skills in Food and Beverage operations at a high end or luxury resort, restaurant, or private club.
• Two to three years of prior bartending experience in a fast-paced, luxury setting.
• Knowledge of HACCP and local food safety standards; State Food Safety Certificate preferred.
• Robust knowledge of wines and beverages; strong creative drink interest.

Responsibilities

• Oversee bar staff to ensure exceptional service for members, guests and team members.
• Greet guests, anticipate needs, and respond promptly with a sense of urgency.
• Partner with F&B and Culinary Leadership to create beverage pairings and experiences.
• Train bar staff on SOPs, drink preparation, food handling, POS use, and bar setup.
• Manage bar inventories, ordering, stocking and compliance with safety standards.
• Craft cocktails, follow recipes, and present extensive beverage knowledge.
• Offer recommendations on beverages and menu items, including wine pairings.
• Understand menus/daily specials, accommodate allergies and special requests.
• Enter transactions in POS, issue checks, and close sales per policy.
• Maintain clean bar areas and follow opening/closing procedures; monitor perishables.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
