Job summary

Columbia Crest Winery in Paterson, WA is seeking a Barrel Cellar Operator IV to operate all processing equipment used in red and white wine production at Ste. Michelle Wine Estates.

This role primarily supports the day shift, with flexibility for extended hours during peak season. You will run destemmed/crusher lines, rotary fermenters, presses and forklift, perform chemical additions, and assist cellar staff while following work orders and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Must be at least 21 years of age (Alcohol)
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
• 3–5 years experience in wine processing or related industry
• Forklift certification or ability to certify in forklift operation
• Able to operate processing equipment with proven capabilities to qualify and operate other equipment

Responsibilities

• Operate destemmed/crusher, rotary fermenters, presses and forklift
• Perform chemical additions, complete work orders
• Assist in directing Grade II, III and temporary cellar workers as assigned
• Interact with other departments to ensure correct processing
• Perform weekly safety check
• Perform light mechanical duties
• Perform other related duties as assigned
