Job summary

Ste. Michelle Wine Estates in Paterson, WA, is seeking a Barrel Cellar Operator IV to operate all processing equipment used in producing red and white wines.

This role primarily supports the day shift but requires flexibility for variable shifts and extended hours during peak season. The position requires 3–5 years of wine processing experience, a high school diploma or GED, and forklift certification or the ability to obtain it.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 21 years of age (Alcohol).
• 3–5 years experience in wine processing or related industry.
• Able to operate processing equipment with proven capabilities to qualify and operate other equipment as necessary.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be certified or able to certify in forklift operation.
• Must be able to work shift work and extended hours during harvest time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Operate destemmed/crusher, rotary fermenters, presses and forklift.
• Perform chemical additions, complete work orders.
• Assist in directing Grade II, III and temporary cellar workers as assigned by winemakers and supervisors.
• Interact with other departments to ensure correct processing.
• Perform weekly safety checks.
• Perform light mechanical duties.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
