Job summary

MGM Resorts International, Mandalay Bay, is seeking a Banquet Supervisor for Conventions & Banquets to lead daily high-volume event services, coordinating with event planners and culinary teams to ensure flawless execution of conventions, galas and corporate events.

You will coach and inspire a team of banquet professionals to deliver polished service, drive excellence, and create memorable experiences for thousands of guests in a luxury hospitality environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience in Catering & Banquets or a related field.
• 1+ years of prior relevant experience as a Banquet supervisor/captain or in a management role preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with Banquet Managers on staffing ratios, room layouts, menu implementation and operation of events; coordinate with EMM and Catering Manager regarding service.
• Review Banquet Event Orders and understand the event as planned; create diagrams when needed.
• Prepare back of house strike sheets and server assignments for each event.
• Communicate with support departments to finalize details for food, beverage, equipment, power and room setup; oversee banquet service staff and ensure policy compliance.
• Manage HR responsibilities for assigned areas; foster a work environment focused on client service, teamwork, performance feedback, and diversity commitments.
