Qualifications

• JD degree required.
• 10+ years of legal/regulatory experience in financial services.
• Licensed to practice law in Missouri.
• Excellent research skills and regulatory knowledge.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Proficient with Windows-based software and banking applications.

Responsibilities

• Provides legal advice for the bank's lines of business.
• Reviews, drafts and negotiates third-party agreements.
• Develops internal policies, governance frameworks, and compliance programs.
• Supports regulatory inquiries and disputes with external counsel.
• Educates management and the Board on legal risks and policies.
• Maintains records in compliance with laws and regulations.
• Develops KPIs/KRIs for governance and compliance functions.
• Assists in regulatory exams, audits, and reviews.
• Keeps updated on regulatory priorities and changes.
