Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance as required
• Two or more years of Financial Institution, Banking, or other financial services industry experience
• Two or more years of audit experience with national accounting firm, or three or more years of internal audit experience
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Comfortable communicating with Management
• Broad knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accounting procedures
• Broad understanding of internal controls
• Moderate analytical and project management skills
• CPA license or CIA certification preferred
• Five or more years of banking/financial services audit experience (Level II)
• Strong GAAP and accounting procedures knowledge
• Strong internal controls understanding

Responsibilities

• Execute the day-to-day activities of audit engagements including planning, process documentation, testing and reporting
• Support the design and execution of an engagement's audit approach and procedures in accordance with regulatory guidance
• Stay current on developments in regulatory guidance and banking industry accounting literature
• Communicate clearly with different audiences in writing and verbally
• Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, team members and stakeholders
• Collaborate and be open to feedback to improve audit processes
• Exercise sound judgement by challenging risks, scope and approaches and providing recommendations
• Identify issues and opportunities for audit efficiencies and remediation
• Supervise Audit Associates and Interns with coaching and timely feedback
• Meet all organizational and professional ethical standards

Education

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA license or CIA certification preferred
