Job summary

PayPal is seeking a Senior Manager, Bank FP&A based in Utah to lead the Bank's financial planning and analysis. You will own the standalone forecast, annual operating plan, long-range plan, and profitability analysis, coordinating with Corporate FP&A, Treasury, and other stakeholders.

The role requires experience in bank FP&A, regulatory awareness, and strong modeling skills. Expect a balanced hybrid schedule with in-office and remote work options within the U.S.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience in bank FP&A, strategic finance, or financial planning within banking or fintech.
• Strong understanding of bank financial statements, net interest income, deposit economics, and forecast-to-actual analysis.
• Ability to build financial models, manage forecast assumptions, explain variances, and present to executives.
• Experience in regulated environments with documentation, controls, governance, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Familiarity with bank planning tools and funds transfer pricing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders and VPs and cross-functional teams globally to drive FP&A initiatives.
• Build and retain a strong, effective FP&A team.
• Oversee month-end close, forecasting, variance analysis, and expense reporting (including Contra).
• Drive process improvements within the team and across the business.
• Provide rapid analysis and recommendations to leadership to drive results.
• Ensure adherence to GAAP and corporate policies.
• Collaborate with leadership on risk awareness for projects.
• Develop insights providing finance leadership visibility into risk areas.
• Work with finance and technology partners to identify improvement opportunities.
• Prepare and present results and forecasts to senior leaders.
• Track and re-trend results against forecasts and budgets.
