Job summary

Financial Staffing LLC seeks a Senior Accountant to support the Accounting Manager and Executive Management in planning, analysis and reconciliations. The role covers daily liquidity reporting, loan activity, expense analysis and month-end processes.

You will handle regulatory filings, journal entries and back-up Call Report work as needed. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance/BA and 3–5 years in financial services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or business administration required.
• 3–5 years in accounting/finance in financial services preferred.
• Experience with bank loan and deposit products is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily liquidity, funding and loan activity reports.
• Prepare analysis on the loans held for sale portfolio including gain on sale calculations.
• Prepare analysis of non-interest expense prior to month end closing.
• Prepare lending and deposit schedules used for monthly Management Reports.
• Prepare and process fixed asset and prepaid activity.
• Prepare regulatory filings on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis including being responsible as a back-up role for Call Report preparation.
• Prepare entries for the Investment Bond Portfolio and accrual accounting.
• Review all daily interface and posting exception reports and resolve exceptions.
• Perform daily and weekly balance sheet reconciliations for significant and high volume accounts.
• Perform monthly reconciliation for all asset and liability accounts.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly journal entries in the Bank’s general ledger system including accruals and recurring entries.
• Assist with fulfilling auditor and examiner requests.
• Perform other accounting, financial, or administrative tasks as may be required
