Job summary

The successful candidate must hold NYSDOH licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist, a Bachelor's degree in CLT or related sciences, and NYS licensure with 3+ years in a clinical lab. ASCP certification preferred.

Qualifications

• NYSDOH-licensed as Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
• Bachelor's degree in CLT or related sciences from an accredited program.
• One year experience in a clinical laboratory (internship acceptable).
• NYS License.
• 3 years experience as Medical Technologist in the appropriate discipline.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs laboratory tests and procedures.
• Follows policies and procedures for methodologies and instrument operation.
• Performs quality control, instrument maintenance and calibration.
• Troubleshoots and documents actions when controls are invalid.
• Review patient results before release; correlate with history/values.
• Communicate critical values to medical staff per protocol.
