Job summary

Huntington Bancshares, Inc. is seeking a strong back-end Java developer with cloud engineering background to join our analytics activation team in Easton, Ohio. You will build API-enabled applications and event-driven solutions, leveraging cloud-native practices and modern data approaches.

Candidates should have 7+ years of development experience, proficiency in SQL, and familiarity with DevSecOps and Kubernetes. Certifications in cloud architectures are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree.
• 7+ years of development experience using Java, building API enabled apps and event driven architecture.
• Ability to write SQL queries and stored procedures, knowledge of using databases including Oracle, Snowflake.
• 2+ years of production support, infrastructure engineering or administration experience.
• Experience with or good working knowledge of DevSecOps; Kubernetes or other container-based technologies including deployment pipelines.
• Learning mindset with openness to learn new technologies, build things and experiment.
• Experience working on product teams, awareness of agile practices.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes, designs, and develops systems based upon user specifications.
• Provides technical assistance in solving hardware or software problems.
• Possesses an in-depth knowledge of and works with the technical tools available for systems development and support.
• Maintains and demonstrates knowledge of technical industry trends, particularly as they apply to Huntington.
• May assist with identifying training needs or with training of less experienced staff.
• May serve as project leader for specific projects.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
