Job summary

KSC Trading is a remote-first, proprietary algorithmic trading firm founded in 2020. We are building a small, focused team to scale trading infrastructure, data integration, and analytics for automated strategies in sports and prediction markets.

The Senior Backend Software Engineer will maintain and extend the trading stack, work with Java on Google Cloud and PostgreSQL, and collaborate with a growing team as we expand over the next year.

Qualifications

• Proficient in backend software engineering with a focus on scalable services.
• Familiarity with data-intensive systems is helpful though not required.
• Ability to work with distributed systems and RESTful APIs.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and expand the trading infrastructure.
• Integrate new exchanges and data sources; normalize market data feeds.
• Optimize backtest performance and build monitoring/analytics for live trading.

KSC Trading is a proprietary algorithmic trading firm founded in 2020. The company creates software to engage in automated trading in sports and prediction markets. The focus has been on statistical arbitrage and liquidity provision. We are currently a team of two, expecting to grow to a team of six over the next year.

Role Responsibilities and Context

• The role would include maintaining and expanding the trading infrastructure.
• Example projects would be to integrate new exchanges and data sources, normalize market data feeds, optimize backtest performance, and build systems to monitor and analyze live trading.
• The current tech stack is based on Java, Google Cloud Platform, and Postgres.
• Experience with the tech stack is not expected.
• Location: Remote with at least 4 hours overlap with US east coast working hours.
• The company donates 20% of its profits.
