Job summary

Waymo LLC in San Francisco is seeking a seasoned backend/infra Software Engineer to advance the Waymo Driver commercialization tools and systems in a hybrid work environment.

You will collaborate with Product, Security, and other engineering teams to tackle security, encryption, PKI, and scalable infrastructure challenges for vehicle-related platforms. 7+ years of experience and strong C++, Java or Go skills are preferred.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.
• 7+ years of backend/infra experience.
• Strong knowledge with security concepts (encryption, authentication, Identity, secure communication protocols, access control).

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve one or more mission-critical commercialization tools and systems.
• Collaborate with Product, Security, and other engineering teams to develop systems and processes as business needs grow and evolve.
• Tackle real-world problems such as vehicle profile, secure parts transactions, vehicle configuration and build key security infrastructure.
