Job summary

Fiserv is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to drive people strategy and technical execution for high-volume, low-latency backend systems. You will lead multiple Scrum teams of tech leads, senior engineers, and IC developers to deliver scalable financial platforms.

You will shape architectural strategy, ensure operational excellence, and collaborate with Product leadership to align roadmaps and deliverables. Experience in Fintech, payments, and cloud-native stacks is highly valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field.
• 12+ years of progressive software engineering experience.
• 3+ years of direct people management leading software teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage and grow a team of Tech Leads, Senior Software Engineers, and Backend Developers.
• Lead engineering execution across Agile teams and align roadmaps with Product leadership.
• Drive architecture for high-throughput Java microservices and cloud-native systems.
• Establish governance, NFRs, observability, and zero-downtime deployment practices.
• Direct modernization roadmaps and data architecture across relational and NoSQL databases.
