Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, event-driven architecture, and messaging patterns.
• Experience with version control systems (Git) and agile development methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
• Proficiency in Java (11+) and building scalable backend services.
• Hands-on expertise in Java, Kafka, and AWS technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services and distributed systems using Java.
• Architect and implement event-driven solutions using Apache Kafka.
• Deploy, configure, and manage AWS cloud services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, S3, RDS, SQS).
• Collaborate with stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable solutions.
• Develop and optimize RESTful APIs and backend functionalities.
• Write and maintain automated tests and perform code reviews.
• Apply security best practices, including auth mechanisms.
• Troubleshoot production issues to ensure uptime.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.
• Collaborate with front-end, DevOps, and QA teams.
