in New York is seeking a backend engineer to design, develop, test and maintain Java-based microservices for digital banking platforms within an agile team. You will drive backend testing activities and collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Java 21+, Spring Boot 3.4, Spring WebFlux and Hibernate, plus strong SQL skills with Oracle DB and DB2.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development with Java 21+ and REST APIs.
• Experience with Spring Boot 3.4, Spring WebFlux and Hibernate.
• Oracle DB, DB2 and SQL knowledge.
• GIT, Maven and Jenkins experience.
• Experience with Splunk and test automation (unit/integration/API/performance).
• Understanding of SOLID principles.
• Experience with Cucumber and WireMock.
• Ability to work in an agile team and with stakeholders.
• English: strong written and spoken communication.
