Job summary

Siteline is hiring a senior software engineer to lead backend work and shape the infrastructure behind our construction-finance SaaS. You will own features from design to shipping, focusing on APIs, data modeling, and scalable systems.

You’ll work with a cross-functional team, contribute to infrastructure decisions, and mentor teammates as an early member of Siteline in a remote-friendly setup with an SF office, four days in person. Expect ownership and impact from day one.

Qualifications

• 4-6 years of professional software experience, with backend focus and some full-stack exposure.
• Designed and scaled complex backend systems with real customers.
• Experience building and consuming internal/external APIs.
• Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership: influence engineering decisions and technical direction across the stack.
• Infrastructure: evolve the tech stack and scale storage, queries, and processing.
• Systems design: own software architecture, data modeling, and scalable infra.
• Product development: plan, architect, and implement backend-focused features; collaborate with frontend engineers.
• Integrations: build and maintain external integrations with third-party platforms.
• Team building: help recruit, mentor, and foster a positive, inclusive culture.
