Job summary

Edison Smart in New York City is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to own core infrastructure and drive the platform's technical direction. You will shape backend systems that control real world experiments and operate with both cloud and on‑prem Kubernetes.

You have 7+ years of production backend experience, are fluent in Go or Rust, and have led large technical projects from design to production, including scheduling algorithms and gRPC/Protobuf interfaces.

Qualifications

• 7+ years building production backend systems.
• Go or Rust on server side.
• Kubernetes in production with IaC.

Responsibilities

• Own the scheduling system coordinating robots and equipment.
• Own the Go services and APIs behind the platform.
• Run Kubernetes across cloud and on-prem.
• Scale the platform with zero downtime deploys.
