Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is actively seeking a Software Engineer Level 4 to develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems supporting mission-focused environments. This role emphasizes backend development, data engineering, and API development with Python and FastAPI, plus PostgreSQL database design and high-performance integrations for data-sensitive systems.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required.
Backend development experience in mission-focused environments.
Experience in data engineering and API development.
Proficiency with Python and FastAPI.
Experience designing and managing PostgreSQL databases with efficient SQL and indexing.

Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and enhance complex software systems including analytics, large data sets, real-time processing, and business information systems.
Provide input on software component design including trade-offs and reuse.
Design, implement, and integrate software applications and perform software engineering tasks.
Apply methodologies suitable for development, integration, and production environments.
Ensure efficient delivery of software capabilities using industry standards and repeatable processes.
Mitigate risks, control costs and schedule variance in large projects.
Review and test software components and document test results.
