Job summary

Iron EagleX (IEX), a subsidiary of General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT), is seeking a Mid Software Engineer to support USSOCOM at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL. The role focuses on secure, data-driven backend systems and analytics to advance national security missions.

Requirements include 5+ years in software development, TS/SCI clearance, a CS-related bachelor’s degree, and on-site work five days a week. AWS/Docker/DevSecOps familiarity is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of related software development experience.
• Current DoW TS/SCI Clearance is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
• Familiarity with AWS, Docker, and DevSecOps tools is preferred.
• Role requirements: 5 days on-site
• Due to US Government Contract Requirements, only US Citizens are eligible for this role.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain data-driven backend systems to provide secure, high-performance search and analytics capabilities.
• Develop applications using Python or JavaScript/TypeScript; Python with Streamlit preferred, React for JS/TS projects.
• Develop backend services for data ingestion and retrieval, design APIs and microservices using Python Flask or FastAPI.
• Implement DevSecOps practices such as CI/CD and infrastructure-as-code.
• Conduct Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) on CAI, PAI, and other datasets.
• Data is stored in Postgres databases and accessed via SQLAlchemy.
