Job summary

Singularity Security Group is seeking a highly skilled back-end developer for an in-person role in a secure environment. You will design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs, manage databases, and ensure data integrity and security.

The role requires active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph, a bachelor’s degree in CS/SE, and 8+ years of backend experience. Proficiency in REST/GraphQL, cloud platforms, and containerized environments is essential.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/SE or related discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in back-end development.
• Experience with Python, Java, C#, Ruby or Node.js.
• Strong knowledge of SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB/Cassandra).
• Experience designing and developing REST and GraphQL APIs.
• Cloud environments (AWS/Azure/GCP) and container tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with Django, Spring or .NET server-side frameworks.
• Solid database architecture and performance tuning knowledge.
• Experience integrating and developing APIs.
• Security best practices for classified environments.
• Authentication/authorization systems experience.
• Preferred: experience with classified systems, cloud infra, signal processing, HPC, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Redis/Memcached, microservices, IaC (Terraform/Ansible), serverless (Lambda/Functions).

Responsibilities

• We design, develop, and maintain server-side applications and APIs.
• We build and manage databases while protecting data integrity and security.
• We design and tune database queries and data access layers.
• We integrate with Government authentication systems and security frameworks.
• We write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• We lead code reviews and promote best practices in back-end engineering.
• We implement security controls and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• We create and maintain documentation for back-end systems and interfaces.
• We collaborate with front-end developers to ensure smooth integration.
• We coordinate with the data engineering team on database design and implementation.
• We provide technical leadership and mentor junior developers.
