Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, implement, and operate our most critical and scalable services. You’ll work on user identity, friend graphs, and core persistence while collaborating across teams to translate product requirements into robust solutions.

You will test, debug, and push for high quality, scalable code with a focus on availability, performance, and security. Knowledge of Java, Python, NoSQL, Kubernetes, and AWS enables you to contribute effectively.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of post-bachelor software development experience (or 5 years with MS, 2 with PhD).
• Experience with distributed systems is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate scalable backend services.
