Job summary

Disney Entertainment and ESPN Product & Technology is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Playback Services team within the Media Engineering organization. You will help build high-throughput backend services for video playback and media delivery.

The role requires 5+ years of backend experience, strong knowledge of Go/Python/C++/C, cloud, and CI/CD. You will participate in architecture, on-call, and mentoring to strengthen the platform across Disney’s streaming products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in a related field.
• 5+ years of backend experience delivering backend applications in production.
• Experience operating large-scale, high-availability backend services.
• Understanding of async programming models and threading/concurrency.
• Experience with Public Cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Experience with CI/CD and source control (Git).
