Job summary

Tinder is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, build, and operate scalable, resilient services that power a globally used app. You’ll own critical backend components, collaborate with multiple teams, and help advance our platform with emerging tech and modern architectures.

Candidates should have hands-on experience with Node.js/Java/Go/C++, cloud platforms, and NoSQL databases. A BS/MS in CS plus 2+ years of experience is preferred, with a focus on execution and ownership.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years of industry work experience in backend engineering.
• Strong knowledge of data structures and algorithms.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate scalable backend services on Kubernetes or ECS.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to expand service platform.
• Influence team roadmap and product development.
