Tinder is seeking a Backend Engineer to design, develop and operate scalable distributed services that run on Kubernetes or ECS. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams across Tinder to expand our service platform and influence the team roadmap while mentoring other engineers.

Required skills include Java, Node.js, Go or C++, plus a BS/MS in Computer Science and 2+ years of industry experience. Location is Los Angeles with full-time benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field with 2+ years of industry experience.
• Proficient in a backend language such as Java, Node.js, Go, or C++.
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures and algorithms.
• Experience designing distributed backend systems handling high traffic.
• Ability to translate ambiguous requirements into prioritized work.
