Horizon3 is a remote cybersecurity company focused on proactive defense. As a Senior Backend Engineer on the External Attack team, you’ll own core API, data processing, ETL pipelines, and cloud infrastructure, delivering scalable, production-grade backend services for NodeZero.

You’ll partner with frontend, product, and design teams to ship features, ensure observability, and drive reliability in a fast-paced Agile environment. Eligibility for US clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Experience building workflow orchestration/distributed systems in production.
• Hands-on experience with high-throughput data processing and ETL pipelines.
• Cloud experience on AWS/Azure/GCP and container tech such as Docker/Kubernetes.

Responsabilités

• Own core Python API features, with emphasis on performance and maintainability.
• Design and operate large-scale workflow orchestration for long-running workloads.
• Build scalable orchestration across concurrent workflows with observability.
• Read and optimize complex SQL in production safely.
• Develop ETL pipelines turning raw data into reliable datasets.
• Contribute to datalake architecture and AWS storage layout.
• Deploy and manage services on Kubernetes; participate in release and capacity planning.
• Develop GraphQL APIs and expose data relationships for products.
• Own observability, uptime, and scalability with metrics, tracing, and alerts.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and design to deliver a clear UX.
