Job summary

Nourish is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join our fast-growing team in San Francisco. You’ll own major parts of the server-side architecture, work with product, design and analytics, and help shape the core platform that connects patients, dietitians, and insurers.

You will report to the Engineering Manager of your Pod and lead end-to-end deliverables, writing high-performance, well-tested code and guiding initiatives that scale our backend services and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years as a Backend-focused Software Engineer.
• 3+ years using TypeScript, Node.js, Prisma, PostgreSQL and AWS.
• Ability to ship fast and independently drive projects end-to-end.
• Collaborative, product-minded engineering experience is a plus.

• Design, build, and ship cutting-edge products and features at lightning speed without compromising on quality.
• Drive continuous improvements in our engineering processes, tools, and systems to scale both our codebase and team productivity.
• Collaborate with colleagues across product, design, engineering, and analytics to solve challenging and impactful problems in a data-driven experimentation culture.
• Contribute to the estimations, planning and execution of projects, features, and integrations.
• Maintain and elevate our existing codebase by developing, releasing, and maintaining backend services and/or infrastructure.
• Write clean, fully-tested, high-performance code that sets the standard for excellence.
