Infleqtion in Boulder is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build backend services and control systems for their neutral atom quantum machines. You will design, implement, and maintain scalable software used to calibrate and operate quantum hardware, collaborating with scientists and engineers across disciplines.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of backend experience, strong Python and Rust interest, Linux and Docker proficiency, and excellent communication skills to share complex topics with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in CS/Math/Physics or related field.
• Strong Python and at least one compiled language; eagerness to learn Rust.
• Experience with Linux and Docker.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Proficient in testing, debugging, version control, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy reliable, scalable backend services and frameworks that control and calibrate our neutral atom quantum computers.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to solve complex problems and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering growth and technical expertise.
• Lead code and design reviews, upholding engineering best practices and promoting quality.
• Support and debug all layers of the control stack from real-time embedded kernels to distributed services.
• Advocate for innovative software development methodologies to improve team efficiency and product quality.
