Job summary

SplitMetrics is seeking a seasoned Python backend engineer to design and build scalable services using FastAPI in a remote-first environment. You will contribute to robust backend systems and take ownership of asynchronous job workflows.

You will work with Redis/Celery/Kafka for async task execution, leverage PostgreSQL and S3, and integrate with LLM platforms and MCP servers across a globally distributed setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years Python backend experience with strong FastAPI skills.
• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, S3, async task queues, and microservices.
• Hands-on experience with agentic AI, MCP servers, and various LLMs.

Responsibilities

• Design and build backend services in Python (FastAPI).
• Implement async job execution and status tracking (Redis/Celery/Kafka).
• Integrate with LLM services and build external MCP servers.
