Alumni Ventures seeks a Software Engineer (Back End) to join their innovative AI team in NYC. You will design and implement server-side software, work closely with other engineering teams, and ensure data security and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate has advanced Python skills, experience with RESTful APIs, and a collaborative spirit, coupled with a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science. This hybrid role offers a competitive salary and benefits.

Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of Python.
• Experience building/working with RESTful APIs.
• Experience with Mongo & Redis.
• Interest in LLMs.
• Familiarity with distributed systems and multi-threading.
• Ability to problem solve and work collaboratively.
• Minimum 3-7 years of industry and/or technical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement the server-side logic for the platform.
• Create, maintain, and optimize databases.
• Develop and maintain APIs for communication.
• Implement security measures for data protection.
• Collaboration with front end engineers for integration.
• Implement best practices for optimizing platform performance.
