Job summary

Anchor Conzult is looking for a Senior Backend Software Engineer (Payments Platform) to join their remote team. This role focuses on designing and building scalable backend services that power payment flows and requires strong experience in Python, Java, or Go. As a hands-on engineer, you will own features and services from concept to production.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong experience with Python, Java, Go, or similar backend languages.
• Background in building APIs and distributed systems.
• Comfortable working with cloud-native infrastructure.
• Must be U.S. based and eligible to work without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable backend services that power payment flows.
• Own features and services from concept through to production.
• Collaborate closely with product, frontend, and infrastructure teams.
• Make practical architectural decisions around APIs, data, and performance.
• Help set engineering standards and mentor junior engineers.
