Job summary

Polymarket is seeking a backend engineer to build the systems powering market creation, management, and resolution at scale. You will contribute to automation pipelines, data integrations, and lifecycle infrastructure keeping thousands of markets accurate in real time.

You’ll work with senior engineers to design, implement, and operate reliable systems with a strong bias toward execution, reliability, and scalability.

Qualifications

• Strong backend development experience with Python or Go.
• Solid understanding of distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Experience building automation systems and data integrations.
• Proficient debugging on Linux and ownership of reliability.

Responsibilities

• Build markets automation systems: design pipelines for market creation, parameter configuration, and lifecycle management.
• Engineer resolution infrastructure: create data-driven, timely market resolution with external data sources.
• Design event-driven automation: processing real-world triggers using messaging/streaming platforms.
• Own reliability & operations: ensure correctness, availability, and scalability across markets systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, infra, data, and markets teams.
• Contribute to code quality through reviews and architectural decisions.
