DORA is seeking a highly skilled Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable, high-performance systems powering our core bond trading products. You will work with a mission-critical infrastructure, distributed services, and modern backend tooling across an extensive data landscape to support millions of users globally.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend development and building large-scale systems.
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend language: Go, C++, Java, or Rust.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, microservices, and API design.
• Experience with high-performance, low-latency systems and scale optimization.
• Solid understanding of SQL & NoSQL databases, caching, and messaging systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services.
• Work with databases, caching layers, and messaging for low-latency, high-throughput performance.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers for seamless UX.
• Implement monitoring, alerting, and observability for production systems.
• Improve security, reliability, and performance of backend infrastructure.
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and technical planning.
