Job summary

You will remain hands-on with Java and Spring Boot, lead technical delivery across multiple teams, and still contribute to development and troubleshooting. The role emphasizes building microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven solutions while ensuring scalability, security, and observability.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software/backend engineering experience.
• Expert-level Java and Spring Boot.
• Hands-on coding with microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience leading engineers across multiple teams.
• Strong communication and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of scalable backend applications and distributed systems.
• Remain hands-on with Java and Spring Boot development.
• Design and build microservices, REST APIs, and event-driven solutions.
• Drive architecture involving Kafka, messaging, caching, concurrency, and distributed processing.
• Work closely with enterprise architects and clearly explain and defend technical design decisions.
• Coordinate with cross-functional, integration, DevOps, QA, product, and offshore teams.
• Own delivery from requirements and system design through development, testing, release, and production support.
• Design for scalability, performance, high availability, fault tolerance, security, and observability.
• Provide technical leadership, code reviews, design reviews, mentoring, and troubleshooting.
• Work with AWS/cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, databases, and deployment architecture.
• Use modern AI-assisted development / agentic engineering tools to accelerate software delivery.
