Job summary

Infocus Technologies is seeking a Senior Java Developer / Backend Lead to design and drive scalable, high-performance microservices and distributed systems, aligned with business and product needs.

Ideal candidate will have 6+ years of experience in Java, Spring Boot, and microservices, with expertise in Spring WebFlux, Kafka, and cloud/container platforms. You will lead architectural decisions and mentor teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices Architecture.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems and system design.
• Experience with synchronous, asynchronous, and polling-based communication patterns.
• Strong in multithreading and parallel execution.
• Hands-on with Spring WebFlux/Reactive systems.
• Knowledge of Kafka or Event Driven Systems.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Caching with Redis / Memcache.

Responsibilities

• Design scalable, high-performance microservices architecture.
• Define end-to-end system flow and integration patterns.
• Drive synchronous vs asynchronous communication design.
• Implement event-driven architecture (Kafka / messaging).
• Design and optimize polling mechanisms vs event-driven approaches based on use case.
• Guide teams on reactive programming (Spring WebFlux) and parallel processing.
• Define best practices for security, performance, and resiliency.
• Collaborate with product teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Drive product-aligned architecture decisions and ensure proper domain understanding.
• API security (OAuth2, JWT).
• Integration Design Patterns.
