Job summary

DevZero is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to design and build scalable backend services in Go, focusing on distributed systems and data pipelines within a Kubernetes optimization platform.

You will implement optimization algorithms for rightsizing and bin packing, integrate with Kubernetes APIs, and collaborate with ML engineers on predictive scaling models, ensuring high availability across cloud environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Go.
• Deep experience with Kubernetes internals and APIs.
• Experience building distributed systems and data pipelines.
• Familiarity with cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Understanding of PostgreSQL/TimescaleDB.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services in Go.
• Build data pipelines for processing Kubernetes metrics at scale.
• Develop optimization algorithms for resource rightsizing and bin packing.
• Work with Kubernetes APIs, operators, and custom controllers.
• Ensure high availability and reliability of the platform.
