Qualifications

• 10-15 years of professional Java development experience.
• 10+ years of experience with Spring Boot and microservices.
• 10+ years of experience with system design and distributed systems.
• 3+ years of experience with Kafka and event-driven architecture.
• Strong working knowledge of PostgreSQL and relational databases.
• Strong hands-on coding and software development experience.
• Experience designing and delivering production-scale backend applications.
• Ability to independently own complex technical problems and drive solutions through production.
• Strong understanding of scalable, resilient, and distributed application architectures.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and microservices.
• Develop high-quality production code using Java and Spring Boot.
• Design distributed systems capable of supporting high-volume and highly scalable workloads.
• Implement event-driven architectures and integrations using Kafka.
• Participate in system design and architecture discussions and make sound technical decisions.
• Own complex technical problems from initial design through implementation, testing, deployment, and production support.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, product teams, and other stakeholders to deliver reliable backend solutions.
• Design and implement solutions for ambiguous and evolving business requirements.
• Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality, scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
