Job summary

Office Ally is hiring a Senior Full Stack Development Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs powering healthcare and insurance workflows. You will focus on Java and Spring Boot, ensuring reliability, performance, and secure data exchange across platforms.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, QA, and implementation teams, contribute to CI/CD pipelines, and leverage AI tools like Claude Code and Copilot to accelerate development while upholding high

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 8+ years of backend software engineering experience.
• Strong experience in Java and backend service development.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed systems design.
• Experience with Spring Boot or similar backend frameworks.
• Strong SQL experience (Oracle preferred) and familiarity with NoSQL databases.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Experience with AI tools (Claude, Copilot, Windsurf, Gemini Code).
• Experience with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins).
• Deep understanding of Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services, APIs, and core platform components.
• Build scalable systems using Java and Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
• Develop and support RESTful APIs and service integrations across internal and external systems.
• Participate in system design and architecture discussions for scalable backend solutions.
• Work closely with product, implementation, QA, and engineering teams to define technical requirements.
• Support complex data processing, transformation, and integration workflows.
• Ensure backend systems are secure, reliable, and performant under high transaction volumes.
• Utilize Claude to support development and improve productivity while maintaining high code quality.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, and DevOps practices.
• Write clean, maintainable, and testable code with strong unit and integration test coverage.
• Apply modern engineering practices including shift-left testing and continuous quality improvement.
• Use AI-assisted development tools to accelerate development, debugging, and analysis.
• Improve system observability through logging, monitoring, and diagnostics enhancements.
• Troubleshoot production and integration issues as needed.
