Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant work experience with 2-3 years as technical lead for a small-mid-sized development team.
• Strong problem solving, ownership, communication, and leadership skills.
• Experience with Server Backend distributed systems and microservices.
• Deep knowledge in software architecture and Java-based APIs.
• In-depth understanding of NoSQL databases like Cosmos and MongoDB.
• Understanding of design principles for large-scale platforms.
• Mentoring and knowledge sharing via talks or code/design reviews.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for an agile development team of 6-8 engineers responsible for features and applications used in multiple International Stores.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, create design specifications and estimates.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve scalable APIs, microservices and components using Java Spring Boot, Kafka, SQL and caching.
• Perform design and code reviews to ensure high quality and maintainability.
• Analyze logs, performance data, and change requests to identify feasible improvements.
• Guide the team in resolving critical tech debts and troubleshooting incidents.
• Document code, specifications, and materials; share knowledge through mentoring and talks.
