Job summary

ZoomInfo is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer on the Growth team to design, build, and scale core backend services using Java and related frameworks. You’ll work on high-performance systems, develop scalable microservices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship new features.

Ideal candidates have 6+ years of Java backend experience, strong RESTful API design skills, and leadership in distributed systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6+ years of experience with backend software development using Java.
• 3+ years designing, analyzing, and troubleshooting large-scale distributed systems.
• 2+ years leading projects and providing technical leadership.
• Strong expertise in Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, Maven/Gradle).
• Experience with RESTful API design and microservices architecture.
• Proficiency with relational and NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Java and related frameworks.
• Architect and implement microservices that handle high-volume traffic and complex business logic.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
• Optimize application performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in distributed systems.
