Job summary

CSI's Software Engineering team seeks a Software Engineer II to design, build and maintain scalable backend services using C#, SQL Server and Azure. You will own components, perform reviews and mentor junior engineers while delivering high-quality code.

You will work with cross-functional teams, participate in tests, deployments and incident response, and communicate roadblocks to management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of software development experience focused on backend development with C#.
• Experience with SQL Server and Azure cloud services.
• Experience designing, building, testing, debugging, and maintaining scalable production applications.
• Experience with Xunit for testing and debugging.
• Strong communication and prioritization of competing tasks.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of significant software components, breaking down tasks and setting clear goals.
• Write code, perform functional testing, and debug programs.
• Develop reusable code and automate deployment processes.
• Write and execute functional test scenarios to ensure quality.
• Work independently on project components with status updates.
• Perform complex code reviews for changes made by you and others.
• Provide mentorship to new Software Engineers.
• Offer troubleshooting assistance for production incidents.
• Communicate roadblocks effectively to stakeholders and management.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned to improve team effectiveness.
