Job summary

Weave is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to architect the IAM foundations across our healthcare platform. You will lead the transition to a modern, globally distributed IAM powered by SpiceDB and Go, building security primitives and scalable identity services for Weave products.

You will own the identity lifecycle, authorization strategy, internal SDKs, and cross‑team collaboration with the India hub, helping 150+ engineers ship secure features with reliability and speed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend engineering with distributed systems in Go.
• Deep understanding of AuthN/AuthZ primitives: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and JWT.

Responsibilities

• Own Identity Lifecycle services for authenticating entities across the ecosystem.
• Define how fine-grained permissions are modeled and enforced across multi-tenant orgs and locations.
• Own internal SDKs, gRPC contracts, and middleware for 150+ engineers to integrate security features.
• Manage federation with SSO, automated provisioning (SCIM), and secure M2M communication.
• Improve system observability and load-testing protocols for Tier-1 services.
• Guard the audit logging pipelines and identity data integrity.
• Lead the India-based hub's technical bar and cross‑team collaboration with US.
