Job summary

Carex Consulting Group is partnering with a leading technology partner to hire a Backend Software Engineer to design and implement scalable backend systems for an advanced engineering simulation platform. The role emphasizes high-performance computing, cloud integration, and robust API design.

You will work on distributed systems, data management, and on-premise to cloud transitions, building reliable, observable infrastructure with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines to support growing

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Professional backend development experience with Java, Python, and/or C++.
• Experience with AWS or comparable cloud platforms and infra automation.
• Strong backend service development and web API architecture knowledge.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, and container orchestration.
• Experience operating distributed systems in production environments.
• Familiarity with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Knowledge of Linux systems and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and web APIs for simulation workflows.
• Improve API unification, data management, caching, synchronization, and storage.
• Collaborate with infra teams to build simulation-specific backend solutions.
• Architect and deploy Kubernetes-based infrastructure for distributed workloads.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for reliable deployments.
• Optimize HPC environments with high-speed interconnects and compute resources.
